If you want to keep the sign up list private, you can turn on the Keep Sign Ups Private toggle button when you compose your conference schedule. If you turn this option ON and schedule the conference only you can see the names of the people who signed up for the conference. Rest of the parents and the admins of your class will see the slots as "Filled" with no names displayed.
