My school already has classes from last year with students, teachers, and parents in it. How do I transition to the new school year? There are multiple ways in which you can transition to the new school year.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Manual Transition

This is for all the schools that invited parents manually in the previous year.

  • Add new classes for the new year. You can add multiple classes manually at one go.
  • Add parents to the new classes. You can move parents from old classes to the new classes, this comes in handy when you have an entire class moving into a new class. Or you can just invite the parent emails/ ph numbers to each class if you have the lists.
  • Clean up the old classes. You can either chose to delete the classes or archive them. You can
  • Delete parents and teachers who no longer are returning to school. Deleting them from the school will also remove them from all classes and groups they are part of in the school.

Bulk Import Transition

This is for all the schools that added students and parents through bulk import the previous year.

  • Classes and Teachers -
    • Create the bulk import file for teachers with the new class names (brand new classes for the new school year), class id's, teacher name and teacher email (use the same email as from the previous uploads)
    • To archive, the old classes  - Upload the CSV file by selecting the Archive option turned ON when you do that all the old classes which are not part of the new file will be automatically archived.

  • Students and Parents -
    • Create the bulk import file for students and parent with the new class names (brand new classes for the new school year), class id's, student_name and student_sis_id  (use the same name and sis id as from the previous year's file)
    • To archive, the old classes  - Upload the CSV file by selecting the Archive option turned ON when you do that all the old classes which are not part of the new file will be automatically archived.
